PhD. Candidate, MSc. Le Ba Long is currently a lecturer at the Institute of Science and Engineering and Environmental Management, Industrial University Ho Chi Minh City, and is pursuing a doctoral degree in Resource and Environmental Management. He has over 14 years of experience in teaching and researching fields such as land use planning, environmental resource management, land degradation, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS).

In particular, PhD. Candidate, MSc. Le Ba Long has conducted extensive research on Biochar, focusing on its application to improve agricultural soils and reduce environmental pollution. His research indicates that Biochar not only enhances soil quality, increases water and nutrient retention, but also reduces greenhouse gas emissions such as methane and carbon dioxide in rice cultivation. Additionally, he studies the physicochemical properties of Biochar produced from agricultural by-products, evaluates its soil remediation capabilities, and its impact on crop yield.

Moreover, PhD. Candidate, MSc. Le Ba Long participates in projects related to land assessment and planning using GIS, providing detailed analyses to optimize land use and environmental resources. His contributions not only improve farming quality and environmental protection but also support the training and guidance of younger generations in the fields of soil science and environmental management.
