Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Binh is a lecturer and researcher in the field of natural resources and environmental science at the Institute of Environmental Science, Engineering, and Management, Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City. His expertise includes soil science, soil biogeochemistry, biochar, degraded soil restoration, and climate change, with research focusing on agricultural systems, particularly rice production in the Mekong Delta.

His research aims to elucidate soil biogeochemical processes, greenhouse gas emissions, and the role of solutions such as biochar and circular economy approaches in improving soil quality and reducing environmental impacts.
