Dr. Le Viet Thang is a lecturer and researcher in the field of environmental science, specializing in soil and water environments. He is currently working at the Institute of Environmental Science, Engineering and Management, Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City.

With many years of experience in research and teaching, he has participated in and led numerous scientific projects related to water resource management, environmental pollution assessment and control, environmental database development, and environmental protection planning at both local and river basin scales. His research focuses on water quality, environmental modeling, river basin management, and the development of solutions for water resource protection in the context of climate change. He has published many scientific papers in both domestic and international journals and has been involved in major projects related to the Saigon–Dong Nai river basin and southern provinces. In addition, he actively contributes to teaching and supervising students, helping to develop human resources in environmental science and natural resource management.
