Dr. Nguyen Tan Xuan Tung is a researcher specializing in soil science, environmental science, and the application of environmentally friendly materials. He is currently working at the Institute for Environment and Resources, Vietnam National University – Ho Chi Minh City.

He has extensive experience in soil quality assessment, soil chemical analysis, pollution remediation, and carbon cycling in soil ecosystems. His research also extends to interdisciplinary studies on soil-water-sediment interactions and the mechanisms of pollutant transport. He has participated in numerous research projects on soil reclamation, ecosystem restoration, and environmental management, with a particular focus on the application of biochar to improve soil quality, reduce heavy metal toxicity, and enhance carbon sequestration. In addition to his research activities, he is actively involved in teaching and supervising undergraduate and graduate students in the fields of natural resources and environmental management, contributing to the development of systems thinking and applied research approaches.

His current research interests focus on soil-sediment pollution, land degradation, carbon cycling, and circular agriculture, aiming to develop sustainable solutions for agricultural production and environmental management in the context of climate change.
